To describe it with one word, PREEMINENT! Every morning I would enthusiastically boot my netbook (the system that runs Ubuntu of course) and watch how fast it gets to the Login screen (about 5 seconds) and check for daily updates, news feed, facebook and blogs! (In Windows, it's more than 1 minute) Anyhow The last time I got worked-up about Operating System was during the pre-release of Windows 7 Beta, which back then was like awesomeness~

Graphically judging, I would give it 9/10! As of right now I'm using Unity Shell because with my on-board graphics it doesn't give that much power but rather it hogs down whatever little resource it has which in turn will contribute to absolute lagness-BAD! The aesthetic of it is just mind blowing, for a minimalist personality like me, I can't help not to love it.

Performance wise, well not so. After a bit of tweaking and optimizing. the delay problem I had after the installation was somewhat solved, though at times, certain app will freeze momentarily. I couldn't help to put the blame on my cute Atom processor, it's after all a netbook. At high load, I would get 80-100% CPU usage a 500-600MB ram consumption, but this probably ain't that troublesome unless Chrome is buffering a YouTube video, though it intrigues me that by using HTML5 to render YouTube video solves this problem as oppose to Flash player.

Battery consumption was terrible though, at windows I would get 4 hours on battery but on Ubuntu at max of 2 hours +

Now finally usability, it's definitely usable for anyone and everyone, it has plethora of application available at The software center. Whatever your needs are, I'm sure there's an app for it. It's suitable for whatever your purpose are and if you ever encountered problems, there's a vast community online, just Google it and it will turn-up.

So overall I would give a 7/10! Thanks for reading :)
