Introduction
This few method will help you to cleanup your tracks on the internet for privacy purposes. This is good if you are sharing computer more than one person, so others can't snoop your private data and stuff. This is highly recommended especially if you want to send your computer for repairs.
1. Flash
Flash keep your internet activities such as facebook games and basically any information given to flash.
Step 1: Open your start menu, go to control panel.
Step 2: At your search box, type in Flash or Flash Player, anyhow it should top out the result with a Flash Player red icon. Launch it.
Step 3: You can tweak flash settings here, but for this tutorial hit Delete All.. button.
Step 4: Now most of the the information send to flash is deleted, now go to Advanced. Hit Delete All... button. This delete your browsing data and settings. Your done :D
2. Internet Explorer 7,8,9
Internet explorer save more history than any browsers, such as MSN, emails (logon screen) and perhaps some more. Anyhow it's important to delete it perhaps once a week? Depends if you use it often. Anyhow across all version IE 7,8,9 the steps are different abit, so read properly :)
Step 1: If you are using IE9, launch. Click at the gear icon at the top right and go to Safety>Delete browsing history or CTRL+Shift+Del alternatively and go to Step 4 right away.
Step 2: But if you are using IE8 or later, go to Control Panel, at the search box type in Internet Options and it should top up all the results, open it.
Step 3: Find Browsing History section, and hit Delete... button
Step 4: Check all the boxes, and hit Delete button to delete your history.
Step 5: Go to the privacy tab, and find Location section and hit the button Clear Sites. This delete sites store in your computer for information about your location, i have deleted it accidentally in the image above forgive me :)
3. Chrome
If you are using Chrome alternatively or as your default browser, here's a way to delete your browsing data for privacy.
Step 1: Launch Chrome browser, and hit the wrench button on the top right corner of the browser, navigate to options.
Step 2: At options, navigate to Under The Bonnet, and at the first section Privacy, hit Clear Browsing Data.
Step 3: Make sure all of it is checked, and the drop down menu is selected as From The Beginning of Time and hit Clear Browsing Data.
4. Firefox
As for me, Firefox is my default browser so I have lots of browsing history (50mb just first 5 minutes) anyhow lets get started.
Step 1: Open your firefox browser, I'm using the latest Firefox 4 so if you still use Firefox 3.6 it might look different but it's the same :) because we are going to use shortcuts, make sure firefox windows is active. Hit CTRL + Shift + DEL and window will pop up.
Step 2: Choose the Time range to Everything and check all the boxes in Details. Once done, hit Clear Now and all is well :)
