This can be used in Windows 7 or in Windows 8. This tricks helps encounter issues where a particular software such as Adobe Photoshop refuses to use the netbook resolution which doesn't allow saving of a file.

To do so,

1. Go to Regedit
2. In Registry open the search box (CTRL+F)
3. In the search field type in: DISPLAY1_DOWNSCALINGSUPPORTED
4. Once found change the value from [0] to [1]

There might be more than 1 entries, change all of em. Then quit registry editor and restart. Voila :D
